CPA firms that have their highest level of service in performing engagements under Statements on Auditing Standards (SAS) or Government Auditing Standards (GAS) or Examinations under Statements on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) or Engagements under PCAOB standards are required to have a system peer review.

CPA firms that have their highest level of service in performing engagements under Standards for Accounting & Review Services (SSARS) or engagements under SSAE that are not examinations are required to have an engagement peer review.
