Prior to forming Flynn & Company, Inc., Rick had over eleven years of experience with two international accounting firms.  In total, he has over twenty-seven years of experience in providing auditing, consulting, and tax services to a variety of businesses and organizations.  Rick has served a wide variety of industries including financial institutions, manufacturing, retail, service and non-profit organizations. 

 

He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, a certified public accountant, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Financial Managers Society, the Tri-state League of Financial Institutions, the Association for Corporate Growth, Allied Construction Industries and Leadership Cincinnati Class 35. 

 

Rick’s extensive community involvement includes being an advisor to the Business College of Xavier University where he also serves as a student mentor.  He serves as an advisor to several local non-profit organizations such as the Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty Board of Directors, Treasurer for The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick Foundation, Character Council Treasurer, and Mt. Notre Dame HS board member.

Heather graduated from Northern Kentucky University in 2011 with a Bachelors of Science in Accountancy. She is the recipient of the Outstanding Undergraduate Student of Accountancy Award for 2010-2011 at Northern Kentucky University and belonged to the Finance and Accounting Student Association.

Craig D. Howard, CPA

Manager, Taxation and Business Valuation

Prior to joining Flynn & Company, Inc. in December 2009, Craig had 35 years experience in public accounting. Over the last twenty years his emphasis has been on the taxation of partnerships, trusts, subchapter S corporations, and high income/high net worth individuals. In December 2010, he passed the AICPA Accredited in Business Valuation examination and is pursuing full accreditation. He is a member of both the Tax Section and Forensic and Valuation Services Section of the American Institute of CPAs.

 

Craig is originally from Lima, Ohio and is a graduate of the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University in Columbus. He has practiced in both national and regional/local firms, including sixteen years in Los Angeles, California. He obtained his Ohio CPA certificate in 1974 and California CPA certificate in 1987. In 2001 he returned to Ohio in the greater Cincinnati area. He has served as president of the Lima Chapter, Ohio Society of CPA’s, as an officer of the Lima Rotary Club, and as treasurer of the Ohio State Alumni Club of Los Angeles. 

 

Clients served include prominent families, including private foundations, residential and commercial real estate interests, charitable lead and estate planning trusts, simple trusts, and numerous partnerships and S corporations. While in California he worked with entertainment industry clients, real estate developers and a major collector of modern art, among many others. Craig also has experience working on audits of banks, auto dealers and construction contractors.

Joy Lytle

Marketing Programs Director

Joy joined Flynn & Company, Inc. in 2011 as the Marketing Programs Director and is charged with building marketing strategies and business development for the growing firm.

 

With over 15 years of experience in marketing and event planning, Joy most recently headed the 2011 “American Idol” Hometown Visit for Season 10 winner, Scotty McCreery in Garner, NC, attended by over 30,000 fans. During her time with the Town of Garner, NC, she spearheaded marketing and branding initiatives while planning local events and festivals. Prior to that, she worked as the Marketing Programs Director for the Cincinnati Business Courier planning, producing and executing over 25 business events annually.

 

Joy received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Marketing from Northern Kentucky University and is involved with the Cincinnati Area Youth Hockey Association along with teaching religious education to 6^th, 7^th and 8^th graders.

Vickie has over 26 years of experience in public accounting and has served as a Senior Accountant for Flynn & Company, Inc.’s Lebanon office, acquired in 2011. She has extensive experience serving clients from a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, entertainment, retail, and non-profit companies. She also has over twenty years of experience in the area of personal income tax preparation.

 

Vickie graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Business from Miami University and received her Bachelor’s of Science Business Degree with a major in Accountancy from Wright State University.

Stephanie received her CPA designation in 2007 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.
